Is America Now Where Our Founding Fathers Planned?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:00 am

Our founding fathers envisioned a country where the traditional roles of government were reversed. The monarchy dictatorship societies that have prevailed throughout human history have been proven to fail time after time. It seemed that this form of government only resulted in an oppressive tyranny. This could be solved by a creating a republic where the people of the country had the power, not the king. America’s founding fathers fled from the English monarchy for the purpose of religious freedom. Years later, after the American Revolution, they founded this country upon the basis of rights, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness.

The laws of America were written so that its people, not the select few in government power, were the masters. The citizens of the country had rights, which was an astonishingly new concept to the world in the 18th century. This meant that the people had the right to speech, travel, religious freedom, justice in the courts, and to elect their government officials.

While the laws written in the US Constitution are still valid, are they still being respected by the politicians in Washington? It’s hard to believe that this is the same America our founding fathers have planned.
